  2. Welcome to version 1.1.2 of Chiron.  To install and run the program
  3. see Appendix E of the userguide.
  4.  
  5. Chiron is distributed as Shareware. See Appendix C of the userguide for
  6. the registration form.  You may order an evaluation copy of Chiron by
  7. contacting us directly, either by postal mail or e-mail. The addresses
  8. are in the userguide.

  10. If you obtained Chiron from a BBS or anonymous FTP site, please take a
  11. moment to send us an e-mail message ( mmull@electriciti.com or
  12. garyhski@aol.com ) telling us when and where you found Chiron.  Also,
  13. please do not distribute CHIRON in any other form then the original
  14. zip file.

  16. The primary difference between this and the previous version is that
  17. this version works with the TLG "D" CD-ROM.  We've also fixed several
  18. bugs that were in the 1.1 version.
  19.  
  20. There are still bugs and limitations in the program.  Known problems
  21. include:
  22.  
  23.     o Words split across lines (i.e, hyphenated) are not matched
  24.       properly.
  25.  
  26.     o Word list matches will only find the first 100 valid matches.
  27.  
  28.     o Some matches may not be found in the work even though the
  29.       word list indicates that they should be.  This is because
  30.       all accents are converted to acute in the word list.
  31.  
  32.     o Certain combination patterns (using "and" and "or") may not
  33.       work as expected.
